Cleaning & Maintenance

Whether it is your first initial visit to our office or a routine maintenance cleaning our hygiene team will provide you with a relaxing and comfortable visit. Our team uses digital x-rays and intra-oral cameras which will allow you to see closely to any trouble areas in the mouth.
Our hygiene team also specializes in Scaling and Root Planning treatment.
What Is Periodontal Disease?
Periodontal disease is a bacterial infection, if left untreated, can and will cause loss of bone and supporting structures of the teeth. There are no foolproof cures; however, dental procedures and home care can be implemented to control its progression. There are three elements to controlling this disease.
What is Root Planning and Scaling?
Planning and scaling is performed over 2-4 separate appointments. The plaque, which has built up and hardened, is removed from the enamel of the teeth by the hygienist and/or dentist. The associated root surfaces will then be smoothed over. (This procedure will remove harmful bacteria and their toxins which can result in bone loss)

Restorative Dentistry

Whether you need a restorative filling or a more detailed procedure our Doctors are here to provide our patients with personalized dental care. Our doctors specialize in crowns and bridges, endodontic treatment, and partials and dentures. We also offer a variety of cosmetic dentistry procedures including white fillings and porcelain crowns. Sunrise also has an onsite oral surgeon for more detailed extractions and implants.
Crowns & Bridges
Crowns & Bridges are restorations which cover, or “cap” tooth/teeth to restore the natural size, and integrity of your existing teeth. In turn, these restorations will strengthen the tooth/teeth as well as improve your appearance.
Endodontic Treatment
Root canal therapy is a conservative dental procedure that is performed in an attempt to salvage or save a tooth that might otherwise need to be extracted. A root canal will, at minimum, involve the removal of the nerve tissue and sealing of the canals with a subsequent filling material.
Partials & Dentures
Complete dentures are classified as either “conventional” or “immediate”. Conventional dentures are made and inserted after your remaining teeth are removed and the tissues have had time to heal (can take several months). Immediate Dentures, are inserted immediately after the removal of your remaining teeth. Measurements are taken by the dentist and models of your jaw will be taken at your first visit. Both types of dentures are made from the same material.

More about Periodontal Surgery

Periodontal surgery is a critical procedure that addresses a wide range of oral health issues. This type of surgery typically becomes necessary when non-surgical treatments, such as scaling and root planing, fail to improve the condition of the patient’s gums. There are several signs that you may need periodontal surgery, including persistent gum bleeding, loose teeth, and gum recession. Other symptoms may include chronic bad breath, tender or swollen gums, and abscesses. It is essential to seek treatment promptly if you are experiencing any of these symptoms, as untreated periodontal disease can ultimately lead to tooth loss and other severe complications.

Contact us if you have any concerns, and we’ll help determine if periodontal surgery is the right option for you.
